Junior Road Safety Officers

At Buchanhaven School, our Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) are part of the pupil leadership team and play an important role in helping to keep our school community safe.

The JRSO group leads projects and activities that encourage everyone to be more aware of road safety. This year, their main focus is on cycle helmet safety and safe road use. Through assemblies, campaigns, and interactive activities, they aim to remind pupils, staff, and families about the importance of wearing a helmet when cycling and making safe choices near roads.

By taking on this leadership role, our JRSOs are helping to make a positive difference in school and in the wider community, while developing their own confidence, teamwork, and communication skills.
