Digital Leaders: Transforming Technology in the Classroom

The Digital Leaders group is a team of enthusiastic pupils passionate about technology and its power to transform learning. Their goal is to encourage and support the use of digital tools across Buchanhaven School, helping both teachers and classmates discover creative ways to learn, collaborate, and innovate. By sharing ideas, solving tech challenges, and promoting essential digital skills, the Digital Leaders make technology engaging and accessible for everyone.

Building on the success of last year, where our Digital Leaders promoted the use of Adobe Express across classrooms, the group is taking on exciting new responsibilities this year:

• AI Literacy Pilot with Education Scotland: Participating in an innovative pilot program to explore how Gemini can safely and effectively enhance learning, critical thinking, and classroom research.

• Online Safety Partnership: Working closely in partnership with Aberdeen Foyer to deliver vital online safety information, empowering pupils to navigate the digital world responsibly, respectfully, and securely.

• Peer Tech Support: Continuing to guide classmates and staff in utilizing everyday classroom software and digital tools efficiently.
